Catalog Numbers: PG2-BNNS-600, 1k, 2k, 3k, 5k, 10k, 20k.
Synonym: NHS PEG Biotin, Biotin NHS PEG, Succinimidyl PEG Biotin
Description:
Biotin PEG NHS is one of Nanocs’ amine reactive biotin
polyethylene glycol derivatives that have a succinimidyl
NHS ester on one terminus of PEG chain and a biotin on
the other PEG end. Biotin is a small bioactive molecule
that has high affinity toward avidin or streptavidin.
Biotin/streptavidin system has been widely used in
molecule detection, bioassays and drug delivery
applications. NHS reacts quickly with primary amine
groups at alkaline pH to form a stable amide bond.
Reaction between NHS and amine enables quick and
efficient conjugation of biotin tag to proteins, antibodies,
peptides, particles and many other materials. PEG linker
between biotin and NHS group offers better water
solubility, less steric hindrance and enhanced stability.
