Cyanine7.5 tetrazine for tetrazine ligation contains a near infrared fluorophore suitable for in vivo imaging.
Absorption and emission spectra of Cyanine7.5 are similar to ICG (indocyanine green), but Cyanine7.5 is significantly brighter.

近红外染料和传统的可见光染料相比有显著的优势。由于细胞和组织的自发荧光在近红外波段小,因此在检测复杂生物系统时,近红外染料能提供更高的特异性和灵敏度。同时,由于光波在近红外区段的组织透过性更好,因此近红外染料尤其适合体内荧光成像(活体成像)这一近几年迅速发展的新兴领域。另外,近红外染料也是细胞内/全细胞免疫印记和传统基于膜介质免疫印记的理想染料。
