Reactivegroup: COOH Reactiveto: NH2 Description: Silane-PEG-COOH is one of surface reactive polyethyleneglycol silanization and pegylation reagents that contain a terminaltriethoxysilane and a carboxylic group. Silane PEG COOH can be used to modifyglass, silica and other surfaces via the reaction between hydroxyl group and alkoxylsilane groups. Triethoxyl or trimethoxyl silane reacts with OH groups easilywith catalytic amount of water. Meanwhile, carboxylic group can be activated toreact with amine or hydroxy groups. PEG linker between alkoxysilane andmaleimide group offers better water solubility, less steric hindrance andenhanced reactivity. Compared to other organic silanes, Nanocs’ silane PEGs aresoluble in aqueous solution, all silanization reactions can be performed inaqueous solution without adding any organic solvents. Alkoxyl groups hydrolyzereadily in aqueous solution and reaction can be completed at room temperaturein 30~60 min. Handlingand Use: Silane-PEG-COOH is sensitive to light and temperature. Forbest use, material should always be kept in low temperature in dry condition. Avoid frequent thaw and freezing.
